Three Top Judges for MovieFest 2003

The organisers of MovieFest 2003 have appointed three people with special expertise to judge entries for this year’s MovieFest.

They are actress Miranda Harcourt, columnist Rosemary McLeod and Lord of the Ring company, Weta Digital. The three judges will select the finalists, which will be announced at the Digital Expo in Wellington on 27 September.

A decision has also been made on the subject to be covered by entrants in the MovieFest. It is Travel, "The Journey".

This subject, Travel, has been chosen has been chosen because films which are largely or solely themed in this way are not typically required to be labelled/classified. However, films which contain material likely to require restrictions will not be accepted. If any entrants are uncertain about any material they wish to use, they can visit the Censor’s website to familiarise themselves with what material is likely to require restrictions, the address is: <http://www.censorship.govt.nz>.
