II is a sound editor with overdubbing capabilities. It plays eight tracks
of stereo sound with precise control of volume and pan. It records sounds
in mono or stereo with input gain control. The multitrack mixer has
level meters and controls for solo, mute, boost, volume, pan, and pan
delay for each track. A variable-speed shuttle allows the user to scan
through sound files at up to 32 times the normal tempo. Its effects
include chorus, echo, equalizer, filter, flange, oscillator, resample,
reverb, reverse, slow tempo, fade in, and fade out. It has envelopes
and LFOs for amplitude, pitch, resonant filter, and more (envelopes
are for controlling effects over time; LFOs are for vibrato and tremolo

DragThing is the original
dock designed to tidy up your Macintosh desktop. Simply drag an application
from the Finder onto an empty square in a dock and then drag documents
onto it as normal. Click a docked application to launch it or bring
it to the front.
In addition, the docks can
contain files, folders, disks and servers, and there is also an option
to display the currently running processes in a special dock.
You can have as many different
docks as you would like, with very flexible settings for each one. You
can choose the size of icons displayed, whether the names of the items
are shown, and much more. Also, you can have multiple layers of items
in docks, clicking on the folder tabs shown above to choose between
pictures to different formats. It also contains many useful features
for picture manipulation.
DiskTracker is the complete
disk cataloging and labeling system for the Apple Macintosh. It features
an extremely intuitive user interface and a bunch of useful features.
DiskTracker can store disk
catalogs for more than one volume. And, a volume does not need to be
mounted on the desktop while you are browsing its catalog. This allows
you to have a single disk catalog containing the library of all of your
CD-ROM's, removable media volumes, and floppy disks.
icWord is a lifesaver application
for those of us who need to open Microsoft Word files from both Mac
and Windows platform, but don't own MS Word. How many times have you
rooted through tons of garbage characters in your favorite non-MS word
processor because someone sent you a MS Word 2000 file? Now, with icWord,
you can easily open and extract clean text, with most of the formatting
intact. A godsend for designers and others who have to deal with people
who seem to think that everybody with a computer owns Microsoft Word.
